No, on the 19th my patrol was all 2d guys. I remember being up on the hilltop when that 79 round went off--did that maybe happen on the 20th, before we pulled off the hill? Morning of the 19th, 2d went down to the paddy area where we had killed five NVA on the 18th then back toward where we came from two days earlier, then about halfway around the hill, well past the dead NVA. Didn`t get up on the hill til late afternoon, almost dark. That`s when 6 told me we were staying put, no digging and we had to make do with the positions from the day before.
