last saturday,2/1/14 in long beach,ca. we held a eulogy breakfast for rodolph lindhe; or rodie as he was better known.golf co. 75th rangers,vietnam 2 tours of duty.he died on 12/27/13.we didn`t know much about it as the city and state took charge ;he had no living relatives to notify.finnaly on saturday we found out they were investigating his death.it turned out to be over dose, and deliberite.he had been suffering from cancer of the prostate for years and refused treatment at the the va, then recently he fell and had aacompound fracture of the lower back. we think the pain and depression got to him.` so at the breakfast about 14 vets showed up 4 were ranger s from his unit and spoke kind words about him. we toasted and said farewell old friend; then I rose and said on this occasion i would like to toast and say airborne goodbye to eagles who have soared recently,cliff searcy and ben saenz. airborne all the way.they all toasted and said the airbone chant wityh me.it was nice. wanted to pass it on to u guys they are not forgotten. docdave
