Fellow Screaming Eagles

Memorial Day is the time when Screaming Eagle gather to pay solemn homage to our brothers who have fallen in defense of our nation’s freedom. All Screaming Eagles are cordially invited to participate in this annual “Gathering of the Eagles” to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on those far-off battlefields.

This is a follow-up to earlier information, in hopes that you will spread the word about the events planned for this annual occurrence in Washington when we pause to remember all those Screaming Eagles and other service members who gave their lives to protect our country’s freedom. Please note the addition of the National Memorial Day Parade, an inaugural event to honor all our veterans including the current warriors serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are looking for the Screaming Eagles to be standing tall as we march down Constitution Avenue!

An outline of the comprehensive weekend activities is enclosed. We hope that those that can will join in this annual remembrance to include marching in the inaugural Memorial Day Parade on Monday, 29 May. I would like to reiterate one point from the schedule of events. We really need to hear from those who will be participating. We hope that you or our unit members will plan to join with us, but if you do, please make sure we know you’re coming!
